The next breakthrough depends on one company with a small chip that can speed up the Internet for us. I know it’s never that simple, but we see such teasers quite often in the newsletter world.
This is a story you’ve heard before in a few different ways, so be sure to read this write-up till the end for the timely nuggets of wisdom. I can at least tell you my guess on which company is being hyped. You may choose to think otherwise but do share your musings about the Internet of Things.
I have covered Internet of Things so many times that I am sick of deciphering small chip companies making wireless modules, and sensors that would dominate the connected world. But this is little different well, fortunately.
Ray Blanco is pushing the “Internet of Things,” undeniably, but he seems to be focusing on the vast demand for bandwidth that is imminent. When there are billions more connected devices communicating with each other on the internet.
A few cueing quotes from his ad;
What I’m guessing that you haven’t heard yet is why this huge phenomenon — worth a potential $19 trillion — might be in danger of not happening at all.
At least, not without the breakthrough I want to reveal to you today….
So, he is pushing a stock for faster networks, and photonics is the answer to the looming bottleneck of overcrowded internet. Without a speedier network that transmits data more quickly this isn’t going to happen. Yes you are right! It’s all about bandwidth and internet congestion.
So that’s thought-provoking no, and the precise company he is pushing in the ad. But before that more clues from the ad.
The Tiny Breakthrough That Could Unleash This Entire New Wealth Revolution
Their answer is so tiny it fits on your fingertip.
It’s called a ‘photonic integrated chip’…
… silicon microchips are overdue to be replaced.
And these “photonic integrated chips” could be that answer.
Photonics by the way are light-guided circuits packed in a tiny space; it’s the laser light that transmits the data between connected devices. Okay there are lots of venture funded companies, start-ups that are capable of manufacturing photonic chips that substitute silicon microchips. Like Alcatel-Lucent (ALU), Ciena (CIEN), and Chinese chip manufacturer Huawei, so to speak…
Some more hints please.
It was so fast, in fact, the entire demonstration — which took just 19 minutes to set up, start to finish — is now registered in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Well, the record is here just in case if you are interested but that was a bit misleading and it’s perfectly okay when you are reading a newsletter advertisement. Their solution made switching a lot faster and the 19 minutes it took to provide the switching on a live network.
The traces undoubtedly point me to Infinera INFN a player in the optical switching segment. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA, US. Ray Blanco seems to be pushing INFN as his favorite, more about Infinera and its peers would be the gist of my next write-up.
Such opportunity makes me excited for the players operating in the IoT realm going forwards, as it should make you tons of money.
Happy investing, so watch out!
